These terms apply to anyone who sells designs through the Mawlid Wear creator marketplace (“you”). By applying for a creator account or uploading a design you agree to them.
You must be at least 18 and give us accurate information. We may approve, refuse, suspend or close any creator account at our discretion, for example where the rules below are broken. Organizations must have their committee's authority to apply and to upload designs on its behalf. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
You keep ownership of your designs. By uploading a design you confirm that it is your own work (or that you have the rights and permission to sell it), and that it does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
You give Mawlid Wear a non-exclusive licence to reproduce, print, display and promote your designs on our website, social media and marketing, for as long as the design is listed and to fulfil orders already placed. You can withdraw a design at any time; this does not affect orders already placed.
Every design is reviewed before it is listed, and we may reject or remove a design at any time.
You set the sale price of your design, which cannot be lower than the minimum price shown above. Mawlid Wear charges a commission on every order. When we print and ship the shirt, the commission is 30% of the sale price (excluding delivery fees and taxes) and covers printing, fulfilment, payment processing and running the marketplace. When a creator we have approved prints and ships their own shirts, the commission is 15% and covers payment processing, customer support and running the marketplace. The rate that applies to a sale is the one in force when the sale is made. We will tell you before we change the rate, and a change applies only to later sales.
By default Mawlid Wear prints, packs and ships orders and handles customer service, refunds and returns. Customer details are not shared with creators for these orders, and you agree not to contact buyers about them.
If you can print your own shirts, you may ask to print and ship your own orders. If we approve you, you can choose this for each design. For those orders you receive the buyer's delivery details and may use them only to deliver that order. You must print to a good standard, ship promptly and mark the order shipped on your dashboard; your earnings from the order are released after that, subject to the hold period. Customers still pay through Mawlid Wear, which handles refunds and support. If you cannot print an order, tell us and we will print it for you at the standard commission. We may switch a creator back to "we print" if orders are late or of poor quality.
An earning is recorded when the buyer's payment is confirmed. It then stays “in hold” for the hold period shown above, so that refunds and returns can be handled, and afterwards becomes available for payout.
You can request a payout once your available balance reaches the minimum payout. We pay by the mobile money or bank details you give us, and process payouts within the time shown above. You are responsible for keeping those details correct. We are not responsible for money sent to details you provided in error.
If an order is refunded, cancelled or charged back, the related earning is removed from your balance. If it has already been paid out, we may deduct the amount from your future payouts.
You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your earnings.
We may remove a design or suspend an account if we receive a rights complaint, if the guidelines are broken, or if we suspect fraud. Earnings from completed, undisputed sales remain payable, except where a sale involved infringing content or fraud.
We may update these terms. When we do, the version number changes and you will be asked to accept the new version before you upload further designs or request a payout. If you do not agree you can withdraw your designs and close your account.
